Rates, Insurance, and Billing

There is value in knowing exactly what your appointment will cost.

When you factor in co-pays and deductibles, treatment with Artemis is often LESS than you would pay at an in-network provider. Combined with the Artemis treatment model of experienced patient-centered care and active patient participation, our patients enjoy fewer appointments and faster healing for an affordable cost.

Clear-cut affordable pricing.

Out-of-network care offers straightforward pricing at an often lower cost to you.  Using in-network benefits doesn’t mean you don’t pay anything. There are usually deductibles, copays and coinsurance costs.

Fewer appointments.

Taking the time to fully understand and diagnose your issue and using over 20 years of experience and knowledge to create a treatment plan (including take-home assignments and information) means less visits and significant savings of time and money.

No added costs.

Often, insurance based physical therapists utilize “upsell opportunities” to supplement their low insurance reimbursement.  At Artemis, all your treatment is included in your hourly appointment cost.

Faster Healing.

With a more experienced Physical Therapist, active treatment plans, and less visits, you can achieve pain relief and healing with less time away from work, family, and life.

Insurance

Artemis Physical Therapy is an Out-of-Network (OON) provider for all commercial insurances. The current ‘in-network’ insurance business model does not allow for the type of high-quality individualized care that Artemis Physical Therapy is committed to giving.  We choose to have a contract with the patient- and not an insurance company- so that we may have the opportunity to work with you one-on-one for fewer, longer appointments, allowing us to delve further into your individual case. Most in-network providers, in a traditional PT setting, see patient for 15-30 minutes, often using care extenders and double booking, so your time is shared. We are not restricted by treatment visits, therapy caps, and prior authorizations. We are not consumed with administrative duties that distract from quality care. With this personalized, private treatment model, patients experience less disruption to their lives and are more satisfied with the pace of their recovery.

Billing

Artemis Physical Therapy does not directly bill your insurance company and payment is due at time of service. However, insurance companies often reimburse for out-network- physical therapy treatments. We will provide the appropriate documentation needed upon request for you to pursue billing directly through your insurance company. Physical Therapy services do qualify for Health Care Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). Without copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and time spent attending physical therapy several times a week for several months, our patient-focused, value-based treatment style allows you to save money while experiencing faster healing.
