Dr. Sally Moores, PT, DPT, OCS
Dr. Sally Moores is a vibrant, energetic clinician who brings a dynamic, eclectic approach to physical therapy. She combines hands-on manual techniques with activities to re-educate and improve the communication with the brain and the muscles, decreasing pain and maximizing movement efficiency. She also adds in a heavy dose of education to ensure that her patients understand their diagnosis and are armed with self-management techniques to independently deal with their individual issues.
Sally is a busy wife, momma, small business owner, adventure seeker and empowerer of independence. She is always on the go — walking to school, running to CVS, playing on the beach, lifting heavy things at the gym. When asked, ‘What are you training for?’ her answer is ‘LIFE.’ She is passionate about quality movement in herself and with her patients.
She and her family are recent West Coast ‘re-transplants,’ moving from Seattle to Boston’s North Shore in the summer of 2015. Though the Pacific Northwest will always be special, Sally has returned home after 10 years and is excited to be closer to family in Maine and New Jersey.
Sally is a master clinician with almost 15 years of experience in physical therapy. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston in 2002 and was named a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) in 2007. She was the Executive Director of MOSAIC Physical Therapy, a private physical therapy practice in the Seattle area, from 2008 until her move last year. Tired of having insurance companies dictate how she can practice physical therapy, Sally started Artemis Physical Therapy, PLLC in late 2015. She established a unique treatment model that is based on the patient’s individual needs, desires, and goals.
As a professional, Sally uses her expert knowledge of the neuromuscular system and modern pain science in the treatment of patients with chronic pain, pelvic health issues, and oncology related movement impairments. She is also exceptional at treating the aches and pains of Weekend Warriors and those who have “tried PT several times, but it never worked.”
